About Me
Emily is a passionate Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who loves to help women get to the root cause of their digestive & hormonal issues. She has a bachelor’s degree in Bible Theology and Music and went on to study Nutritional Therapy at the Nutritional Therapy Association. Like many practitioners, Emily’s journey to her field has been a personal one. After working for years in long-term care as a CNA and struggling with many of her own health issues, she was desperate for foundational wellness that didn’t involve band-aid solutions or symptom suppression.
She has worked with many clients struggling with acid reflux, fatigue, bloating, IBS, stress/anxiety, gut health, hormone regulation and more. Emily enjoys taking a food-first, functional approach to wellness using the six foundations of health.
My Story
AT 16 years old I was struggling with heavy periods, anemia, asthma, acne, IBS and major fatigue (literally falling asleep in class). Not long after, I was put on hormonal birth control with no questions asked and would have a period once every 3 months. The next 6 years proved to be very trying for me health-wise as I navigated graduating high school, moving states for college, and finishing my undergradute degree. Birth control was supposed to fix everything, right? Wrong. I had a whole list of new problems like anxiety & depression, worsening IBS, bloating/cramping, heartburn, low energy, and major headaches. Instead of asking “what medicine would help this?” my thought process became “no one should have to deal with this for the rest of their lives.”
Feeling desperate, I met with my doctor to have some testing done only to be told everything was “normal.” While feeling like everything was very not normal. I couldn’t find the nutritional support I needed from my medical doctor. After some prayer, I decided it was best to come off the medication. I did some research of my own, and found an NTP online who CHANGED MY LIFE & I decided I HAD to help someone too.
After almost 2 years of hard work and dedication I can see a bright energetic woman with countless lessons learned, and a whole lot of knowledge to share.
